Microsoft Office Communicator 2007
The Office Communicator 2007 Environment
Office Communicator 2007 is an instant messaging (IM) program that allows you to directly
contact other co-workers or students if they are online. IM is another form of communication
(e.g., email) that can have great impact on your productivity and efficiency by letting you
communicate with others more readily. The Office Communicator 2007 environment makes
finding commands and tools easy. For example, many basic tasks (e.g., changing your Status
Indicator) are conveniently placed on the interface instead of tucked away in a sub-menu. This
document will explain the basic features of the Communicator 2007 environment.
The Communicator Window
The Communicator 2007 window consists of four main features: the Status Indicator, Notes,
Contact List, and the Search box.
The following image shows where each feature is located on the Communicator window.
