Command Details of Basic Commands
The following basic commands and modifiers are supported by the CMD300 program. The minimum
abbreviation of each command and modifier is indicated by large capitalized text.
1)
B
AUD <baud rate setting>
or
B
AUD
DEF
AULT
This command specifies the speed of communication with the CyberAmp. The default speed
of 9600 bps is assumed by CMD300 when first run. The last speed is retained between
executions of the program. The <baud rate setting> may be selected from the following list:
19200, 9600, 4800, 2400, 1200, 600 or 300
The COM port is always set to 1 Stop bit, 8 data bits, and no parity bit. If the
communications speed is to be set outside the CMD300 program, or a desired COM port
setup differs from the program defaults, then use the BAUD DEFAULT command. BAUD
DEFAULT prevents the program from setting up the COM port. Its use requires that a DOS
MODE command be issued for the COM port that is to be used. See also the FINDSPEED
command for determining the optimal communications speed.
2)
C
HANNEL <channel specification>
This command specifies which channels are to be the target of subsequent channel oriented
CMD300 commands. The <channel specification> is a flexible syntax that supports a list of
channel numbers and ranges separated by commas or spaces. The following example selects
channels 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and
8.
CHANNEL 2,3,5-8
The modifier ALL has the special meaning that all channels are selected. Any channels that
follow the ALL modifier are excluded from the selection.
CHANNEL ALL
This command selects all channels (channels 1-8 of a CyberAmp 380) for subsequent
commands. The following command selects all channels except channel 1.
CHANNEL ALL 1
Channel selections are remembered and need not be enumerated in subsequent commands
until the selection is to be changed. The current selection may be reviewed with the STATUS
DEFAULTS command.
3)
COM <COM port number>
COM specifies the serial port used for communicating with the CyberAmp. If a COM port is
not specified, then the program will prompt for a COM port to use. <COM port number>
must be in the range 1-4 and the port selected must be valid for the computer configuration.
A selected COM port is remembered between executions of CMD300.
